Welcome to The Freddi-Henchi Band webpages.

It is with great sadness we acknowledge the passing of our dear friend and musical brother J.D. Kelly on October 5, 2015. He delighted countless audiences in his 40 year career with his high energy and entertaining shows. Frequently he would go out into the crowd with his Trombone and drive 'em into a frenzy with his musical antics. You will be missed J.D. R.I.P....Bob Y.

Freddy has been performing and recording quite often with Chris Daniels and the Kings as of late.  One of the tracks recorded was a song that Bob wrote that The Freddi-Henchi Band used to perform in the seventies called "Nobody Knows".  Freddy sang lead vocals on the new recording of this track.  The CD, which is called Funky To The Bone, has now been released.  More information on the Chris Daniels and the Kings upcoming shows and the CD release can be found on their website by clicking here.   (03/02/15)

Marvin "Henchi" Graves
(1944 - 2009)

The photo above was taken on May 3, 2008.  It was an excellent performance.  I talked with him after the show and he was feeling good.

CBS News Channel 4 in Denver did a story and a video segment on Henchi on May 26, 2009 .  You can view both by clicking here.  They also published an article on his passing on June 9th.  You can read that by clicking here.

A photo of Henchi along with a brief story was also posted on the Denver Nuggets website for about a week and it had a link to an article written in the Denver Post.  You can read this article by clicking here.

Here is a link to a photo of Henchi on the Golden Moments 2009 page on the NBA website.

We are really sorry to hear of the passing of Henchi's brother, Michael Graves on December 8, 2011.  Michael played a big role in the group during their heyday as their road manager along with many other things he did for the band.  He was a great person with an excellent personality and sense of humor.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.  Above is a photo of him with the band at Ceasars in Lake Tahoe taken in 1982.  From left to right standing: Eddie (Boom-Boom) Washington-drums, Gino DiQuinzio-sax, Jerry Krenzer-bass, Tony Bunch-percussion, Bob Yeazel-guitar, left to right sitting: Henchi-vocals, Michael, Eddie Costa-keyboards, Freddy-vocals
