In the early summer of 1971, a second excellent single from Spaceship Earth was released.  "Mother Nature's Wine" was written by the same combination that had brought us "Green Eyed Lady" a few months earlier.  The song had a similar sound, but unfortunately did not enjoy the same success.  The B-side was an edit of a medley of "Bach Doors Man/Chest Fever" from the first Sugarloaf album recorded before Bob joined the band.  Below are the promo and stock 45s, and the Billboard magazine advertisement.

 

Although the song only charted nationally at Number 88, it did have success in different regions of the country.  The survey below from June 14, 1971, shows it at Number 23 in Asheville, N.C.
